With a solid academic background and an outstanding professional career, Dr. Lola Peris has travelled a path in the field of mental health marked by her constant dedication and commitment to excellence. She obtained her degree and doctorate in Medicine at the University of Valencia, where she acquired the solid foundations that led her to specialise in Psychiatry. She continued her training with university studies in Clinical and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the University of Comillas, Madrid. She furthered her knowledge with specialisation studies in Forensic Psychiatry at the National University of Distance Education (UNED). This diversification in her training allowed her to approach mental health from multiple perspectives and to enrich her clinical approach.

His professional experience covers a wide range of roles in the field of psychiatry. In Spain, she has practised as an associate psychiatrist in several institutions, including two University Hospitals and two public psychiatric care institutions. She created a mental health unit in collaboration with other professionals, which she coordinated, as well as being the coordinator of an acute care hospital unit in Psychiatry. These experiences provided a deep understanding of the needs and challenges in the treatment of mental disorders in a clinical setting.

Dr. Lola Peris has also served as Head of Adult Hospital Psychiatry in a renowned psychiatric centre in Switzerland, where she subsequently set up and led the Research Unit and the Dual disorders program Programme. Her international experience has provided her with a unique and enriching perspective on treatment approaches and mental health systems in different contexts.

In addition to her clinical work, she has always had a strong interest in training and research in the field of psychiatry. She has been Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Alcalá de Henares. In addition, she has authored and co-authored several books, publications and research articles, addressing a wide range of topics related to psychiatry and mental health.

His membership in international scientific societies, such as the Spanish Society of Dual Disorders (SEPD), the Dual Disorders/Pathology Section of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA), the World Association on Dual Disorders (WADD), the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the British Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), reflects her ongoing commitment to academic excellence and advancement in the field of psychiatry.
